Craigz is a proudly South African brand founded and owned by Craig Meltzer. Inspired by the landscapes, people and natural abundance of the Western Cape, Craig founded the brand from a genuine love for local craftsmanship, wholesome living and the outdoors. Craigz brings together thoughtfully made products and authentic experiences that celebrate everything that makes the Cape unique.

Our connection to the Western Cape runs through everything we do. Its mountains, indigenous fynbos, coastline, farms, communities and creative spirit continually inspire the products we make and the experiences we offer.

Craig Meltzer grew up in Camps Bay, between the slopes of Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles and the Atlantic coastline below. With the mountains so close to home, the outdoors became a familiar part of his childhood and a place where he felt free to explore.

He spent time wandering the slopes and coastline, discovering rocky paths, sheltered places and the changing textures of the Cape landscape. Exploring and foraging encouraged him to look closely at what grew around him and to notice how the mountains and sea changed with the seasons.

Those early experiences shaped Craig’s lasting curiosity about nature and the local fauna. The birds, small creatures and plant life he encountered gave him an appreciation for the Cape’s natural abundance that continues to inspire his work through Craigz.
